Joy Hayes is a full-time mother of three who lives in Auburn, Maine with her family. When she is not busy with her mothering duties, Joy likes to read, write, exercise, bake cookies and sleep. Writing has always been a therapeutic creative outlet for Joy, since she began filling notebooks with depressing poetry and irrational adolescent rants in high school. More recently, she has enjoyed creating “family art,” a cartoon-like commentary on all the crazy people at her house, and writing 10 minute plays for a local improv theater.
Joy writes about her family life, growing up in Vermont, living with autistic children, marriage, and any other interesting ideas that dance through her head. She has a “quirky” sense of humor, typical of people who live or work in high-stress environments. Therefore, readers of her blog should remember not to believe most of what she writes.
